Research Study For Adults With Type 2 Diabetes

People with type-2 diabetes have a higher risk of other diseases like heart diseases. Keeping a low blood glucose level and body weight may reduce the risk of getting these diseases. Therefore, people with type-2 diabetes need treatment to lower their blood glucose and assist with weight management. This study will assess how well this new medication may lower blood glucose and body weight in participants with type-2 diabetes, when compared to other approved medications or placebo.
You will be required to come to our clinic 14 times over an 18-month period. At each visit you will see the study doctor and then our experienced research team for study assessments.
There is no cost for the treatment or study visits, and you will be compensated for time and travel.
You may be eligible if:
- You are aged 18 or over
- You have been diagnosed with type-2 diabetes for at least 6-months
- You have been treated with Metformin for at least 3-months
- You have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 25 or over
