COVID-19 and Influenza Combined Vaccine study

Older adults are at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19 and influenza, especially when both are circulating in the community at the same time.
Here at Holdsworth House, we are researching a combination vaccine that seeks to offer protection from both COVID-19 and the flu in a single shot.
This investigational vaccine has been previously tested for safety in individuals. We are now testing the effectiveness of the combined vaccine compared to single COVID-19 and flu vaccines that are currently available.
By joining this study, you could help gather data needed to make immunisation simpler and easier to protect your community against both COVID-19and the flu with just one shot.
The study will involve five scheduled visits to our research clinic, completed over six months.
Eligible participants will be compensated for their time and travel costs.
To be eligible, participants must
- Be aged 60+ years old.
- Be generally in good health or have well-controlled medical conditions.
- Have not received a COVID-19 or Influenza vaccine in the last 8-weeks.
- Have not had a confirmed COVID-19 infection in the last 2 months.
